Campus
The campus is located in Chembur, a northern suburb of Mumbai, and stretches over a few acres of land.It is close to some residential complexes and near petroleum processing plant run by Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertlizers. The Institute of Technology shares the campus with the college of Arts and Sciences and the college for Diplomas in Engineering. The campus comprises one big U-shaped building, a football field and a canteen that is situated in the neighbouring management college building.
SportsThe campus is equipped with a well maintained football ground (which doubles up as a cricket ground), a basketball court and a volleyball court. Additional facilities for high jump and long jump are also available. An annual sports competition is held in this college called as Sphurti, where all the student divisions compete in around 20 indoor and outdoor competitions. vesit has been participating in inter college festivals organised by various college across mumbai. TechfestVESIT organises an annual techfest every year called as Praxis. Praxis consists of various technically oriented competitions like Robotics, Dalal Street (Stock Market Simulation), Open Hardware and Open Software competitions and technical paper presentations. It also organises fun events like the treasure hunt and crystal maze along with adventure sports like wall climbing. Technology DayEvery year's Teacher's Day (September 5) is celebrated as Technology Day. On this occasion, technical paper presentations are organised and the best research paper of the college is selected. Utsav 2007VESIT organises a cultural festival every year in Spring, called Utsav. All the classes compete in a wide range of cultural activities to gain points. The final winners decided by the points tally. AchievementsRoboticsVESIT has participated in Robocon, an annual competition held by Doordarshan, India. It is a national competition with colleges from all over India participating for a chance to participate in the Asia Pacific Competition held by ABU. VESIT has participated in Robocon since it has started and has always been successful in reaching the Quarter Finals of this competition. In Robocon 2004, VESIT won the National Competition and got an opportunity to participate in the Asia Pacific Event to be held at Seoul, South Korea.

LibraryThe library provides a wide ranging collection of books which include university prescribed text books and reference material. Easily one of the most well stocked library amongst mumbai university engineering colleges. The library also subscribes to all major international journals and magazines. Some major non-technical magazines are also subscribed to. The library staff recently created a digital catalogue. The central library also has a reading hall which is open 6 days a week and on Sundays when exams are approaching.
